Friends I took a bus out of Amsterdam to go visit historical Berlin.The journey was long and arduous but cheap .For a visitor, this can be disconcerting. We spent 3 glorious days immersing  in Berlin's past  I saw the remnants of the Berlin wall  and the iconic Check point Charlie  .

Friends in my modest opinion this is one of the quintessential medieval towns in Germany.
